Data Protection

Data Protection

The security of your data is of particular concern to us. We, therefore, process your data exclusively based on the statutory provisions (DSGVO, TKG 2003). In this data protection declaration, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within our website’s framework.

Name and address of the controller

The person responsible for the Basic Data Protection Regulation is:

Bmstr. Thomas Köberl

Collection of personal data

We only store access data within the framework of so-called server log files during a simple website visit. These are data that your browser provides and which are anonymous, namely:

Browser type/version
Operating system used
Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
The hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
Time and date of the server request

We cannot identify specific individuals from these data. The data is not merged with other data sources, and the data is deleted after a statistical evaluation. For this purpose, users‘ access to our web pages is stored in the server log files, including the IP address. These log files are processed monthly for statistical purposes using analysis software and then deleted. It is not possible to identify a specific person when we use the data.

Some of our website’s functions ask the visitor to enter personal data, e.g., name, email. Names and details can be entered here voluntarily. Your data is processed by us on servers located in Austria and thus covered by EU data protection.

SSL encryption

Bmstr. Thomas Köberl uses the so-called SSL security system (Secure Socket Layer) in connection with 256-bit encryption for data transfer. This technology offers the highest level of security and is therefore used, for example, by banks for data protection in online banking. You can tell that data is being transmitted in encrypted form by the closed display of a key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device with the help of the browser. They do no harm.

We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.

If you do not want this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow this in individual cases.

However, if cookies are deactivated, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

Web-analysis

Our website uses WordPress web analysis functions.

Like most website operators, we collect non-personally identifiable information of the type that web browsers and servers normally make available, such as browser type, language preference, referring website and the date and time of each visitor request. The purpose of WordPress.org collecting non-personally identifiable information is to better understand how WordPress.org visitors use their website. From time to time WordPress.org may publish non-personally identifiable information in its entirety, e.g. B. by publishing a report on trends in the use of its website. General information about WordPress can be found at: https://de.wordpress.org/about/privacy/

IP addresses are anonymized using a hash value.

The data processing takes place on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 Abs 3 TKG as well as Art 6 Abs 1 lit a (consent) and / or lit f (legitimate interest) of the GDPR.

Our concern within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is the improvement of our offer and our website. Since the privacy of our users is important to us, the user data is pseudonymized.
